The water then flows through an inline carbon polishing filter before flowing to your tap. What does the Ultrafiltration System remove? Stage 1 – Melt Blown Sediment Filter Removes suspended (floating) particles including Dust Rust Sand or small stones Stage 2 – GAC Filter Removes chemicals or bad tastes or odors in the water including Chlorine Volatile Organic Compounds and other chemicals Stage 3 – Carbon Block Filter Removes any residual suspended particles, chemicals, or bad tastes or odors that the first 2 filters have missed Stage 4 – Ultra Filter Membrane Removes very small suspended particles in the water including: Microplastics Silt or clay Bacteria Parasites Stage 5 – Activated Carbon Polishing Filter An extra “backup” carbon filter cartridge that removes any residual tastes and odors in the water that may have somehow not been removed by the previous 4 stages What does this filter not remove?
